Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, in a heartfelt reflection on the reality of death, reminded believers to prepare for the inevitable journey to the Hereafter and to reflect deeply on their deeds before the end of life arrives.
He said:
“A time will come when a person’s life reaches its end and the Angel of Death will enter. At that moment, wife, children, and family will all depart, and worldly interests will come to an end. Only a person’s actions will remain.”
Citing the words of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (PBUH), the Grand Ayatollah said:
“O soldier, prepare for your journey and gather your provisions before the time of death comes. Learn the way before you set out on the path.”
Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani added:
“Your knowledge is seeking the world, while death is seeking you. Therefore, think about that time from now—before the moment comes when nothing will remain except your deeds.”
He emphasized that true wisdom lies in awareness of mortality and constant remembrance of the Hereafter, urging believers to live with sincerity, mindfulness, and preparation for the eternal life beyond this world.
